What are the 72-93 Dodge HD Shackles with 1/2" Bolts?
A great upgrade for your truck! Whether you want to upgrade your shackles to some thick 3/8" ones or add Poly bushings this kit is for you!
What are the benefits of the Hogback Fab leaf spring bushing kits?
Strength and confidence from your tired suspension with upgraded parts. We use grade 8 hardware with top lock nuts for many years of service. The bushing are Poly to stand up to the abuse. Tough powder-coated 3/8" thick shackle plates to top it off!
 

Strength where you need it most!

  • All Grade 8 hardware 
  • Urethane bushings
  • No Grease channels to weaken bolts (grease zerks are nothing more than a gimmick, they never take grease and pop off under small amounts of pressure)
  • 1/2" Bolts
  • 3/8" thick steel that is powder-coated black
How easy is it to install the Hogback Fab front shackles for 1/2" bolt?
Very easy!
  1. Safely lift/jack truck up and put on jack stands. Make sure to use proper safety gear and equipment
  2. Remove leaf spring bolts and old shackle plates
  3. Remove old bushings from leaf springs and frame mount (press out, burn out, drill out, whichever is your flavor)
  4. Press in new bushings 
  5. Bolt in leaf springs back in the truck,
  6.  The rest is reverse of removal. 
  7. After driving 100 miles make sure to re-torque bolts
